Dreams In Darkness broke the 100,000 view point today, approximately a year and a half after its conclusion.
I’m proud, but also count myself fortunate. I was in the right place at the right time, putting out a work right as Slender Blogs’ mainstream popularity was really peaking. Interestingly enough, it still took me 18 months to reach this point. This kinda shows the market for *any* Slender Blog, even one that is entirely self-contained and appeared right while the iron was hot and the audience was at its largest.
Kinda shows that these have always been a labor of love, not of popularity. If you’re in it for that, you’re in it for the wrong thing because the audience just isn’t there for true “popularity”. You’ve got to love the character and love the work. You ain’t gonna get famous writing this. You’re just gonna have fun.
